Paddlesport at PSC

We have just introduced a new Paddlesport Membership for folks who would like to make use of our great facility at Priory – but are paddlers rather than sailors!

We are in the process developing our paddlesport resources  (as well as this page!) but in simple terms a Paddlesport Membership gives you access to our lake to use your own SUP, kayak or canoe and also to use the club’s SUPs at no charge.

PSC Paddlesport Members enjoy the same rights and responsibilities that our sailing members enjoy, the only difference being that they are participating in paddlesport – using either their own, or club, craft.

Access to the lake and building is the same for all members, i.e. those members with their own equipment can take to the water whenever they wish, within the limits of our lease, and will have access to the ground floor shower and WC.

Club equipment is available, and the clubhouse open, on Wednesday and Friday evenings and all weeknd throughout the summer.

The club is developing a resource of club paddlesport equipment – currently five SUPs. Members’ access to this resource is managed in the same way as it is currently to our sailing craft, i.e. available to club members when the club is open, booked through Eventbrite and with some restrictions in place for safety reasons as appropriate.

Club paddlesport equipment is available to all PSC members; Paddlesport Members are only be able to use paddlesport equipment, i.e. they do not have access to club sailing equipment.

Encouragement to attend social events, working parties and Open Days is the same for all members, as are members’ rights to bring the guests to the club.

Most PSC communication takes place electronically, either by email, via a digital newsletter or on our members’ only Facebook page, Paddlesport Members are included in all communication.
